Mombacho Sneak Peak!

What a day! Our student bloggers are all tucked in, but they will deliver our full report tomorrow. Expect to hear about ghosts, a monkey surprise, and 100% participation on over eleven canopy ziplines! Incredible.

Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments - we read them aloud each day after every evening meeting - your words of encouragement and support mean so much!

  2. Good Morning Loganberry, I really can't wait to hear about the zipline. After that experience you should have no problems with roller coasters. LOL You and Ahmirah look like your having lots of fun together but you both also look exhausted. Take it all in and make sure you write about everything in your journal. I can't believe you only have two more days. Make the best of the little time you have left. Have a great day. Love Mom

  3. HA! Bel, you look positively terrified. I would have been too!I'm so proud of you for doing that and can't wait to hear all about it. I'm sure it was exhilarating once you were doing it. Daddy says hi and he misses you. Jesse says it's nice and quite without you but I suspect he misses you too. Elijones misses you too :(

Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more about your adventure!

  7. Hi Eamon

We are enjoying the posts and photos. The zipline looks amazing. As afraid of heights as I am, I probably never would have been able to do it. Wish I could say its been quiet here without you but Filomena is more than compensating for your absence in the noise department. I guess she misses her brother and can sense that her mom and dad do as well. Enjoy the rest of the trip. Take LOTS of pictures for dad and bring something cute for Mena.
    Love you.

  14. Bea's Knees!:) Grammy and Grampa have been watching the blog and send their best and will tell you themselves if they figure out how to leave a comment.lol We will be going to Lancaster for Easter so you can tell them all about it. This trip blows my trip with Girl Scouts to Wyoming out of the water. I got to sleep in a tent and take 3 minute showers and get a sore butt from riding a horse all day. I would have been the first one on that zip-line...so jealous! Also, I replied back to your retirement comment..Love you much, Mom

  15. Hi Ky!

Just a small note to say I can't wait until Wednesday, then I can hear all about the fun you're having in person!! I'm sure the zipline wasn't a problem for you, in fact I'm sure you probably wanted to do it again! It must've been great zipping through the beautiful trees in Nicaragua. Hope you were able to take plenty of pictures of the hike. Everyone sends their love & well wishes & we're waiting on our postcards!! :O) Can't wait to see how dark you've gotten...the pic above makes it seem like you've gotten quite a suntan!!! I love you to pieces. See ya soon. *smooches*

  18. Your last post was so beautifully written that tears welled up in my eyes (sniff sniff)! The way you have been describing your experiences makes me feel like I've been along for an amazing ride. I can tell by your posts that this has been a life-altering experience for all of you and I'm sure you have deeply moved the people that you've met while on your journey. Congratulations to all of you for representing ICS and the US of A in such a thoughtful, warm-hearted and intelligent manner. Well done Take Flighters! Safe travels home.
